Updated Chadian Hospital Packing List

I met with my midwife last weekend and she gave me lots of advice on what to pack for giving birth in a Chadian hospital…I thought some of you might be interested to see the updated list:

  • mosquito net
  • coffee
  • flashlight
  • hand fans
  • toilet paper
  • a Chadian mat to put on the ground in case Josh or I need a place on the floor to rest.

Does anything on this list surprise you?!

Hmmm…sounds like a camping list. Do you need to borrow my tent? : ) We are praying for you and Josh and for this precious little girl that God is placing in your care and for her big brothers. Thank you for your courage and dedication. May God continue to bless you with all that you need.

This plus the other list is a lot of stuff!! How many bags will you carry in? This is so interesting. Thank you for sharing!

Dana, We should have a carry on size suitcase, a duffel bag, our yeti cooler (with things like Gatorade, water, and a bottle of milk). Josh also decided to buy a cot which a lot of Chadians use to sleep outside on during hot season. That way, he’ll have something besides the floor to sleep on if we have to stay overnight!
